Image editing method especially in case of a digital copier implements image editing in two erase modes – an inside erase mode and a paint-out erase mode. If the inside erase mode is meant for erasing an image or images lying in a marked area, marked by a marker, on the other hand the paint-out erase mode targets to erase only an image which has been painted out by a marker.

However, limitations cannot be ignored from other areas. In the wake of this, when a number of areas of a single document image are marked, there is a possibility of unexpected processing occurring to prevent a desired image from being produced. This is a problem in digital image editing involving digital printer and to cope with this problem, there is an increasing demand for an alternative marker editing system. This is to prevent editing only confined to a marked area in case of digital printer.
